Brian Erik Radley ~ May 30, 2010

Brian Erik Radley, 39, died May 30, 2010, of a heart attack while on vacation in Batavia.
He was born Sept. 26, 1970, in Batavia. He lived in Golden, Colo., but enjoyed returning to Batavia to spend time with family, especially his sister, Lisa Brown and uncles Chuck and Dave Radley.
Brian, a wonderful father and loving husband, loved spending time with his family. He loved to camp in the mountains, a true lover of nature. Brian will be very sadly missed by his entire family.
He was a carpenter by trade.
Surviving is his wife Kellie (Becker) Radley; sons, Erik Radley and Zachary Radley; daughters, Jamie Brown, Hailey Radley and Elishya Konkler; grandsons, Uriah and Alexander Brown, all of Colorado; his mother, LenAnne (Gerard) Radley Corcoran of Colorado; sisters, Lisa (Willard) Brown of Batavia and Charity (Michael) Rodriquez of Colorado; brother-in-law, Herbert Karn of Batavia; maternal grandmother, Ann (Radley) Antonio of Batavia; aunts and uncles, Caroll Wojkowski, Flossie Radley, Patricia Gayton, Chuck (Sharon) Radley, all of Batavia, Shirley (Randy) Colopy of Castile and David Radley of Le Roy; nieces and nephews, Savanah Karn, Dominic Brown, both of Batavia, Michael and Marissa Rodriquez of Colorado and multiple cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Kendall, grandfathers, Leonard Radley and Dominic Antonio and cousin, Michelle Lee Ruhlman.
Services will be in Colorado at the convenience of the family.

James S. MacIntyre ~ May 24, 2010

LeRoy ~ James S. MacIntyre, age 79, of Lake Road, died Monday afternoon (May 24, 2010) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. MacIntyre was born October 25, 1930 in Geneseo, N.Y., a son of the late Fredrick and Mary Linton McIntyre.
Mr. MacIntyre will be remembered as a very hardworking and proud man, who honorably served his country with the U.S. Army in Korea. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and woodworking. He loved his family dearly and fought his cancer bravely for four years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Scott MacIntyre, his children; James (Vickie) MacIntyre of Texas, Bonnie (James) Henry of LeRoy, Donald (Jennifer) MacIntyre of Holley and Lynda Shaffer of LeRoy, a brother, Fred (Kathy) McIntyre of Mt. Morris, two sisters; Sally (Skip) Smith of York and Joan Christiano of Retsof, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by many of his brothers and sisters.

Eugene W. Fries ~ May 17, 2010

Rochester ~ Eugene W. Fries, age 86, formerly of Pavilion, died Monday (May 17, 2010) at the Highlands at Brighton in Rochester.
Mr. Fries was born Sept. 2, 1923 in Caledonia, Ontario, son of the late Henry and Esther Smith Fries. He played soccer, baseball, basketball and baritone for Pavilion Schools. From 1944-1946 he served in WW II on the USS Wright. On June 16, 1946 he married Dorothy Pike and was married for 46 years. As an electrician, he worked for Gleason Works, retiring in 1986. He proudly served his country in the Navy, and was dedicated to his home, family and church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and traveled extensively. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and twin grandchildren.
Mr. Fries is survived by his daughters: Bonnie Herzig of Watkins Glen and Christine (Mark) Sweeny of Swanton, VT; grandchildren: Karah Shaw Herzig of Elmira Heights and Erich Eugene Herzig of Elmira; Brothers- and sisters-in-laws: Marion (Robert) Taylor of Pavilion, Betty Frisch of Rush, Robert (Pearl) Pike of Pavilion, Samuel Meals of AZ, Alberta Pike of TN and Kenneth Pike of Batavia; many nieces and nephews.

John was born on October 14, 1931 in Caledonia, New York to the late Herbert & Anna (Ryan) Brandes.
John was a retiree from Lapp Insulator in LeRoy, a member of the Northwoods Sportsmen’s Club, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is predeceased by his wife Martha Carr Brandes, brother Herbert Brandes, sisters Arlene Hall and Mary Jane Pollock. Survived by his children; Christine Severson of Batavia, Richard J. Brandes of Caledonia, John R. “Jack” (Janet) Brandes of LeRoy, and Lee Ann Brandes of Caledonia; 2 grandchildren, Hayley and Madison; sister, Barbara (Robert) Shepard of LeRoy; brother, James (Carol) Brandes of Stafford, and several nieces and nephews.

LeRoy ~ Donald R. Kernutt, age 82, of Wolcott Street, died early Monday morning (May 3, 2010) at Crossroads House in Batavia.
Mr. Kernutt was born September 6, 1927 in Batavia, NY, a son of the late Raymond and Olive Sargent Kernutt.
Mr. Kernutt was retired from a 23 year career with the U.S. Navy. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, companion and dear friend to many.
He is survived by his children; Martin (June) Kernutt of Virginia Beach, Janine Kernutt of Virginia Beach and Leslie Marlow of Richmond, VA; his sister, Sallie (Peter) Garland of TX, a niece, Ellen Brennen, a nephew, Steven Garland; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; along with his extended family, including his longtime fiancé, Patricia Bovenzi of LeRoy, her children; Richard (Kerry) Bovenzi, Denise (William) MacPherson, Lori (Mark) Calmes; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite in 1983.

STAFFORD — Vaughn Hahn, 87, of Stafford died unexpectedly Thursday (April 29, 2010) at United Memorial Medical Center, Batavia.
He was the son of the late Bertha and Henry Hahn, also of Stafford.
After service in the Navy from 1942 to 1945 during World War II, he returned to Stafford where he lived the rest of his life. He was self-employed.
He was predeceased by his sister Helen (Albert) Demko.
He is survived by his sisters, Betty (Donald) Peters of Stafford and Wanda (Chester) Nicholson of California; his nephews, Paul Demko of Le Roy, David Demko of Batavia and Ronald Nicholson of California; his nieces, Darleene (Temple) Lewis of Bethany and Becky (Hans) Sprong of California, as well as by numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements will be completed by Cameron, Brady and Steuber Funeral Home, LeRoy.
