Field, Florence (Armstrong)
Scottsville: Died May 29, 2016, in her 100th year. Predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Field. She is survived by her son, Richard Eric Field; her daughter, Elizabeth Gonyo; grandchildren, Jason, Andrew (Lindsay), Jonathan (Emily), Ryan, Sarah & Victoria Field, and Christopher Scanlon; great-grandchildren, Denali Ries, Riley, Dylan, Addison & Eleanor Field. Florence was a graduate of Rochester Athenaeum & Mechanics Institute, and Rochester Institute of Technology. She was a historian for the Town of Wheatland, elder of Union Presbyterian Church, a longtime member of the Greater Rochester Rose Society, Rochester Genealogical Society, Wheatland Historical Association, and Oatka Garden Club. Also a trustee of the Wheatland Baptist and Garbuttsville Pioneer Cemeteries.
Friends may call Thursday, June 2, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the J.H. Cameron Funeral Home, 26 Rochester St., Scottsville. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 3rd at 2 PM at Union Presbyterian Church, 1 Browns Ave., Scottsville. Private family interment at Oatka Cemetery, Scottsville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Presbyterian Church, the Cox Memorial Room of the Scottsville Free Library, or to the Wheatland Historical Association.
