Obituary for Robert F. Baltz

Pavilion
Robert F. Baltz, 86, died October 29, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Batavia, NY, where he received compassionate care over the past two months.
Bob was born and raised in Western New York. His working life included dairy farming with his parents, truck driving for DeWitt Corp., and founding Baltz Concrete Construction in Pavilion. Retiring to enjoy motor home travel around the USA, he settled in central Florida before returning north in 2018.
In the early 1950’s, Bob served proudly in the Honor Guard of the US Air Force. He became a hunter safety instructor and shared his respect for wildlife with many students. He loved to go fishing, watch the Buffalo Bills and share in a good laugh.
Bob was respected for his honesty, his integrity, and contributing his time and talents to better his community. He took pride in and fiercely loved his six children and their families.
At Bob’s request, there will be no calling hours or formal service. For those wishing to make a donation in Bob’s memory, please consider the Arc of Genesee Orleans, 64 Walnut Street, Batavia, NY 14020, a Veterans organization, or your local animal shelter. And don’t forget to give a hug to those you love!
