Scottsville/Caledonia. Died November 20, 2019 unexpectedly at the age of 83. Predeceased by his loving wife Anne, brother Reed, grandson Stevie. Survived by his “buddy” Doodles, six children, LaVerne (Donna), Teresa DeClerck (Mark), Elaine Wills (Charles), Brian, Steven (Darlene), Kevin (Susan), 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a sister-in-law Kristen, sister Cheryl Buchinger, two brothers Jerald (Cindy), Wayne (Vicki), along with many close relatives and friends. Vern retired from the Wheatland-Chili School District as the Bus Mechanic/ Bus Driver. Vern grew up on his family farm in Scottsville. He was a member of the 2-Cylinder Club. In his retirement he enjoyed tinkering with his John Deere tractors and spending time outdoors. He was also well known in Scottsville as the caretaker of the Oatka Cemetery. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the J.H. Cameron Funeral Home 26 Rochester St. Scottsville. His Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the Union Presbyterian Church 1 Browns Ave. Scottsville. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Vern’s name to the 2-Cylinder Club 9245 Coleman Road Barker, NY 14012
