Obituary for Timothy J. Barber
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Timothy J. Barber, a laborer and resident of LeRoy, NY, who died unexpectedly at his job site on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the age of 35.
Beloved son of James and Katherine Barber. Tim will lovingly be remembered by his siblings, April (Brian) Seeley, Kimberly (Nicholas) Cavano, and William Barber; his nieces and nephews, Isabella, Bryce, Emelia, Olivia Seeley and Oliver and Evelyn Cavano. Tim is predeceased by his grandparents, Gordon and Virginia Waterman and William and Jane Barber.
Tim graduated from LeRoy High School in 2004 and Monroe Community College in 2007, with a degree in Fine Arts. Tim was a devoted Buffalo Bills fan. Whether he was lounging around his apartment or watching the game with friends, he was often found wearing his fan apparel. Tim was also a member of the No Shoes Nation, with Kenney Chesney being his musician of choice. Tim was most well-known for his role in the art world. He created artwork for family and friends, murals for City Slickers and The Batavia Theater/Batavia Showtime, and pieces for the Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council, also known as GO ART. To quote Tim in a very personal letter to himself, “Some pencils, some paint, and some country music, and getting to do something that I love. What more could I have asked for?”
Tim will be deeply missed every day by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, a LeRoy High School scholarship will be set-up in honor of Tim, so that his passion for art will continue to live on. Donations for this scholarship can be mailed to Kathy Barber, 9333 Linwood Rd., LeRoy, NY 14482.
Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2020 from 12 PM till 3 PM at Cameron-Brady and Steuber Funeral Home, 111 Wolcott Street, LeRoy( funeral home occupancy will be limited to 33% during the course of visitation and face masks will be required). A private family funeral and burial will take place on Monday with interment at Morganville Cemetery.
