Obituary for Farwell B. "Fireball" Wiedrich

Farwell B. Wiedrich “Fireball”, 81, of Leroy, NY, passed away peacefully at home on August 5, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Batavia, NY, he was the son of Raymond S. Wiedrich and Alice T. Wiedrich. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Iona Shepard and brother-in-laws Robert Shepard and William Reid.
Fireball retired as a maintenance worker at Angelica Textile Services in Batavia. He will undoubtedly be remembered for his extreme sense of humor and his ability to make anyone he met laugh until they cried, and he did it with ease. “The life of the party” is how he was most often described. “If it wasn’t for your left side, you’d be alright. If it wasn’t for your right side, you’d be left alone”

He is survived by his wife Katherine of 59 years; daughters Pamela Foster (Dan Shaughnessy) of Leroy, Christine (Chad) Tillotson of Pavilion, Tina Brown (Adam Schell) of Warsaw; sons Michael (Amy) Wiedrich of Pavilion, Randy Wiedrich (Cindy Reschke) of Batavia; sisters Doris Reid of Caledonia, Arloa (Robert) Donnelly of Stafford; brothers Earl (Shirley) Wiedrich of Virginia, Lavon “Red” (Brenda) Wiedrich of Oakfield, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services. A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
