SCOTTSVILLE - Dorothy Ann Young died peacefully of natural causes in Honeoye Falls, NY on August 30, 2020 at the age of 89.
Dorothy was born on 10 June 1931 in Ann Arbor, MI, and grew up in Middleton, MI, the daughter of Cecile and Ben Miller. She married Stanley Young, the love of her life, in 1949. They relocated to Rochester, NY in 1960 when Stan went to work for Varden Studios, and subsequently to Scottsville NY in 1970 where she lived for 50 years.
Dorothy is survived by her sons Mark (Laureen), of Clifton, VA and Eric (Mary), of Scottsville, NY, daughter Lisa Brent (Stephen) of Honeoye Falls, NY, and daughter-in-law Samantha Young of San Francisco, CA. 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Stan, and son Kevin.
A graveside memorial service was held on September 3rd for the immediate family at the Oatka Cemetery Scottsville. Contributions may be sent to the Union Presbyterian Church of Scottsville, 1 Browns Ave, Scottsville, NY 14546.
