Obituary for Robert C. Westacott
Robert C. Westacott of Le Roy, NY (formerly Pavilion, NY) passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2020, at age 83.
Joining the US Navy in 1955, Bob served as a Corpsman in Florida for four years. He then returned to New York State and began his education as a teacher taking advantage of the GI Bill. He received a BS in Chemistry and MS in Administration from SUNY Geneseo. Bob retired in 1994 after 29 years at Pavilion Central School District where he spent eight years as a high school science teacher, three years as high school principal and 18 years as Superintendent of Schools. He then continued his service to the Pavilion community as a Town Justice for a number of years and served on the Genesee Valley ;BOCES Board for many years.
• He was raised in Westfield, NY, by his parents, William and Lois Westacott, who predeceased him. He also was predeceased by first wife, Bedette Wennberg Westacott, and his sister, Dorothy Rowson (Gary), of Salina, KS. He is survived by his wife, Virginia P. Westacott; daughters Eva L. Westacott (James) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Elise J. Prevost of Le Roy, and Elaine K. Rosina (Joseph) of Tonawanda, and stepson Mark S. Morrill (Krista) of Holley; grandchildren Dennis P. Prevost (Julie) of Uncasville, CT, Devin C. Prevost (Tiffany) of Ellington, CT, Danielle E. Rosina of Tonawanda, Michael R. Rosina of Tonawanda, John T. Morrill, Gregory R. Morrill, and great-grandchildren Lorelei M. Prevost, Theodore F. Prevost, Lucas D. Prevost, and niece Bambi D. Rowson.
The family would like Bob to be remembered for his commitment to the Pavilion Central School District and community, which he served with integrity, courage of his convictions and devotion to the educational mission of the student of Pavilion.

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to reap . . .
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance . . .
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing . . .
