She graduated from Le Roy High School, SUNY Delhi, and York College of Pennsylvania; later in life, she completed a Masters Degree in English from Fairleigh Dickinson University. After leaving Le Roy, she lived in York, Pennsylvania; Red Bank, New Jersey; and San Antonio, Texas, then moved to northern Virginia upon retirement. She enjoyed a long career in corporate communications, having worked for Pfaltzgraff, General Motors, and USAA. Lorri enjoyed international travel, completing trips to England, France, Germany, Switzerland, and India. She was an avid reader and lover of words.

Lorri was preceded in death by her husband, John Privitera. She is survived by her children, Noel MacKenzie (and his wife Nancy, née Deffenbaugh) of Salem, Ohio, and Kristin MacKenzie (and her husband Carl D. Orr) of Centreville, Virginia, both from her first marriage to the late Jim MacKenzie. She is also survived by four grandchildren, James and Ashli MacKenzie and Elizabeth and Catherine Orr.

Due to concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic, the family has delayed services until this summer. There will be a celebration of Lorri’s life on August 28 at 3 PM, at the Machpelah Cemetery in Le Roy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) or the Woodward Memorial Library in Le Roy (woodwardmemoriallibrary.org).
