Obituary for Paula Jane Stoll (Goetze)

Paula Jane Stoll (Goetze)

January 13, 1956- April 4, 2022

Paula Jane Stoll (Goetze) passed away on April 4, 2022 at 66. She is survived by her husband Mark Goetze; children Amanda Rose and Rhiannon; brothers Michael, Peter, and Neal Stoll; nephews David, Nicholas, and Daniel; niece, Claire; and many family members and friends.

Paula was born to Paul and Angelina Stoll in 1956; she and her three beloved younger brothers were raised in Hubbardston, MA in the home built by her father. She earned both a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and was a Phd candidate at the University of Illinois. After accepting a coveted job with Eastman Kodak, she maintained a nearly forty-year career in emulsion technology.

She met her husband Mark when she brought her motorcycle into the shop for repairs; they married and raised their two children in Scottsville, New York. She could often be found attending her children’s concerts or soccer games, with orange slices or baked goods in hand.

Like her father, she loved the outdoors, and spent much of her time skiing, ice-skating, hiking, or camping with her family. Always behind the camera, she was an avid photographer, as well as an accomplished birthday cake baker, talented seamstress, and music lover.

All are invited to celebrate Paula’s vibrant life at her memorial service on Thursday, April 14th at 5 pm at J.H. Cameron Funeral Home (26 Rochester Street; Scottsville, New York). Masks encouraged.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to American Institute for Chemical Engineers (AIChE) for Women in Engineering (https://ecommerce.aiche.org/aiche-online/Donation/Home/Donation?setskin=giving&productid=209).
