Obituary for Sandra L. Horr

Sandra L. Horr, 79, of Scottsville, born December 15, 1943 in Rochester, NY, entered into eternal rest April 4, 2023. She worked at Craftsmen Supply House for Jack Leonard for many years; she also enjoyed dabbling in upholstery work with a dear friend, Barb Martin, for a few years. But she found her true calling after she retired from Craftsmen Supply House, working in companion care with the elderly. She helped many local families up until 2020 when she made the difficult decision to step back in order to prioritize her own health.
Her greatest passion was spending quality time with her family and socializing with her many groups of friends. She was a woman strong in her faith and an active member in the Catholic community.

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Skip (Irwin) Horr, her son Scott Horr, her brother Steven Kintz, and her parents Lois and Leonard Kintz. She is survived by her beloved animal companion Sweet Pea, her children, Patty (Cyril) Krebs, Robert (Andrea) Horr, Debbie (John) Tabbitas, and her daughter-in-law Barb Horr, her brother Earl (Roberta) Kintz, her sister Carolanne Hassett, her grandchildren, Christina (Cory) Banker, Megan (Tim) Dailey, Eric Barson, Krysta (Derrick) Cunningham, Joe Ferraro Jr, Deanna Horr, Samantha (Ryan) Horr, Jacquelyne Horr, Jamie and Jacob Krebs, great grandchildren, Drew, Ali, Brady, Evan, Dean, Collette, and many nieces and nephews.

Sandy is now truly at peace with her loved ones in Heaven watching NASCAR with a bowl of M&Ms and a glass of wine.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, April 15th at 11 AM at Saint Mary The Assumption Church, 99 Main St. Scottsville, NY 14546. Following the service there will be a Celebration of Sandy’s Life at Hartman Hall next to St Mary’s church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Patrick’s Place, 2006 Scottsville-Chili Rd, Scottsville, NY 14546.
