Great granddaughter of Donald and Helen Walters..
its been one year, 2 months and 3 days sense he left, and exactly 3 months sense grandma did. And it's yet to stop hurting. We love you papa and still talk high about you with every story along with grandma, despite the tears. Not a day goes by where we all don't miss you both. I'm sad, but happy you two get to be together and happy again. Please watch down on the family and I. Happy saint Patrick's Day. We love and miss you both.. Gone, but NEVER forgotten.

Tom McManus
When I first met Don, shortly after joining the American Legion in Scottsville, he told me a very interesting story. When he learned my last name was McManus, he said that was his name when he was born. Don told me that he was born during the depression and his parents could not afford to raise him. He was put into an orphanage and subsequently adopted by a German couple named Walters. From that day on Don and I called each other "Brother" when we saw each other. A funny side note, about a month ago, Don asked me what my first name was. He had forgotten it because we always called each other brother. I will miss you Don, I've never met a nicer, more positive person in my whole life. God bless you and yours.

dear grandpa , you weren't just the most handsome man I've met, but the strongest!! Even through all you have been through, you always had a smile on your adorable face.. I don't think I'd ever think that day would come..but I know for a fact you're up there shaking hands with everyone up there, and seeing all your old friends! I'm so happy, correction, honored to be your great granddaughter, papa! rest easy my handsome! We will see you again one day..
